Biography

Shane Buckner

My name is Shane Buckner, and I am grateful for your interest in my art. I am a self-taught photographer, predominantly working on large format landscape and nature based photographic prints. Besides prints, I photograph weddings, portraits, and still life as time allows.

I was born and raised in Houston, Texas. I studied computer engineering at Texas A&M and then in 2016 moved back to Houston as a software engineer. I currently still reside there with my wonderful wife, Korinne, and our two little boys.

One of my first purchases after starting working was a DSLR. I quickly discovered that I loved filling my free time with photography. Whether running around downtown Houston or driving down to Galveston, I developed a passion for capturing the world around me through my camera lens. As I dedicated more and more time to photography, I found my passion strongest when creating photographs that capture the awesome beauty of nature through landscape scenes.

As a landscape photographer, my purpose is to best present unique and wonderful views of this world by crafting my own blend of composition, subject, and lighting. The collection of galleries that we have put together here represents the views that I found worthy of sharing through various print formats.
